There are two types of challenges right now that allow you to earn "blog points." If you are wondering what blog points are good for, you'll just have to assume it is something awesome and take the risk. I won't reveal the rewards until later.
Word of the Week
Firstly, every Monday there will be a "Word of the Week" posted. You earn a blog point by posting a comment that uses the word correctly in a sentence. Spelling, punctuation and grammar count! You can find all the Word of the Week challenges by clicking on "Word of the Week" in the Labels section on the side bar.Student Challenges
Second, watch for posts called "Student Challenge." These will be puzzles, brain teasers, paradoxes and riddles for you to ponder and solve. To get points for these, you will record your answer on a sheet of paper and deliver it to Mr. Koch at school. Make sure you include your name, grade, and which challenge your are answering. You can find all the Student Challenges by clicking on "Student Challenges" in the Labels section on the side bar.Good luck!
P.S. The original challenge below has still only been solved by one student.[Hint hint]

DeleteYeah, I got it from that guy who had to escape from the castle. You know, the loose floorboard thing we did in 3rd grade.
Deleteits after every punctuation mark.
DeleteOh, I see what you mean. Excellent thinking and good problem solving to go back to a known method that has worked before! However, that's not correct in this case. Remember the cipher wheels we made?
Deletei tried the ceaser code but when i got half way i got a mix of some letters that made ZERO
ReplyDeletesense so now i give up!
Ranak, if you search online you can find some good sites that let you try several different shifts on a cipher wheel without having to to them all by hand.
